Nanjing Library

Nanjing Library, abbreviated to “Nan Tu”,  is the provincial public library of Jiangsu Province and is a state-level library. Its predecessors  include Jiangnan Library, which was founded  first in 1907 and the Central Library, which  was established by the National Government in  1933. In 1954, it was formally renamed “Nanjing  Library”.

It has a long history and a profound  cultural connotation. The New Nanjing Library  has become a cultural benchmark of Jiangsu  Province, and it is a place where the rich cultural  connotation of the region can be housed.

Nanjing University

Sanjiang Normal School founded in 1902  was formally renamed “Nanjing University” in  1950. It is a prestigious university with a history  of over a century.

It is a key construction university under the national “211” and “985” Projects.  At present, Nanjing University has three campuses — Gulou, Pukou, and Xianlin.

Southeast University

Southeast University is one of the famous  “eight major architecture universities” in China.  Its history can be dated back to 1902 when Sanjiang Normal School was founded.

In 2000, the  former Southeast University and the Nanjing  Railway Medical College which was founded in  1958 and a number of other universities merged  under the name “Southeast University”. Southeast University is a comprehensive key university  directly under the Ministry of Education, and it  is also a key construction university under the  “211” and “985” Projects.
